GREEN TIP OF THE MONTH courtesy of the Glass Recycling Company

Purchase an additional sturdy dustbin/container that can house all your recyclable glass before depositing it into the local glass bank. In South Africa, it is not necessary to wash glass before placing it into “Glass Banks”. It is preferable to remove corks and lids, but it is not necessary to separate different coloured glass into […]

4Play: Sex Tips for Girls

I finished up on 4Play: Sex Tips for Girls last week. I was a bit of a sleazebag. That’s half the fun of acting – you get to be many different people. It’s a great show – our version of Sex in the City – only better. I’m going to be doing some film work […]

Time seems to fly by…

It was the end of April just 2 days ago wasn’t it? When I was younger I remember listening to the adults saying that time flies and I just didn’t get it. The days were always long and filled with adventure. My favourite pastime was whiling away the hours in pet shops. Can you use […]

GREEN TIP OF THE MONTH courtesy of the Glass Recycling Company

Be aware of what is recyclable and what is not. For example, light bulbs, crockery, and cookware such as “pyrex” are NOT recyclable. Neither is plate glass (window panes) and neither are computer and TV screens, windscreens or laboratory glass. They have different properties that can contaminate a recyclable load of glass.

Glitterati (Kyknet) will use the funds generated from the ball to start a trust to pay for the education of children. It is anticipated that the trust will start with 10 children and build on […]

Now on Erfsondes!

erfsondes

I hope you all watched the first episodes of Erfsondes. My sister says it’s gripping nail-biting stuff, so much so, she has to change channels every now and then to prevent a coronary. Okay so she’s extreme – but it is a good story. Remember Tuesday’s SABC2 at 19h30. Latest thrilling news on the music […]

Reflections on April…

702

I love listening to TALK 702. I find the content interesting and topical and I enjoy the music. Not so long ago Kino hosted a show about the pros and cons of, among other things, the political landscape in this country and the 2010 World Cup. A man called in to share his views. He […]

Feast or famine

It has been madly hectic with acting and corporates. Acting is a bit like consulting – it’s feast or famine. The worst thing that can happen during one of the hectic feasting periods when you don’t have time to breathe is the nightmare client. In my case it’s the one that tries to cram the […]

Life in fast forward

I was sleeping, dreaming and having visions of shipping conditions in the South China Seas and moral codes about leadership and… can’t remember the third thing. I felt like I was in an episode of Flash Forward except I wasn’t getting pictures of my personal future but of some unconnected global occurrence. If you haven’t […]
