Green tip of the month

September 18 is International Coastal Clean-Up Day. If you’re at the coast go down to the beach and pitch in. If you’re not, get a group of people together and go clean your favourite park or plant a few trees. Did you know that Johannesburg is the largest man-made forest in the world?? Yep – it has 10 million trees in private gardens, trees, and parks. So now you can find many species of bird that have migrated from other areas like the Goa bird. So Jo’burg bird lovers – it’s all on your doorstep.
